How to Connect PipReaper to Your MT5 Broker in Under 10 Minutes

What You'll Need

• A PipReaper account (free trial or paid subscription)
• A MetaTrader 5 (MT5) account with a supported broker
• Your MT5 login credentials (account number, password, server name)
• A Windows PC or VPS (PipReaper runs on Windows; Mac users should use a VPS)

Step 1: Download and Install PipReaper (2 minutes)

1. Log in to your PipReaper account at pipreaper.com/download
2. Download the latest Windows installer
3. Run the installer — it will guide you through the process
4. Launch PipReaper when installation completes

Note: Windows SmartScreen may show a warning on first run. Click "More info" → "Run anyway." This is standard for new software and is not a security risk — our installer is digitally signed.

Step 2: Log Into PipReaper (1 minute)

1. Enter your PipReaper account email and password
2. The app will verify your license and load the dashboard
3. You'll see the main interface with the trading dashboard and settings panel

Step 3: Connect Your MT5 Account (3 minutes)

1. Navigate to Settings → Broker Connection
2. Enter your MT5 credentials:
   • Account Number — your MT5 login number
   • Password — your MT5 trading password (NOT the investor password)
   • Server — select your broker's server from the dropdown (e.g., "ICMarketsSC-MT5")

• Trading sessions: choose which sessions to trade (London, New York, or both)

Step 5: Start with Demo Mode (1 minute)

We strongly recommend running PipReaper on a demo account for at least 1–2 weeks before going live. To do this:

1. Open a demo account with your broker (most brokers offer this free)
2. Connect PipReaper to the demo account first
3. Monitor performance and familiarise yourself with the dashboard
4. Once satisfied, switch to your live account credentials

Troubleshooting Common Issues

"Connection Failed" Error

• Verify your account number and password are correct
• Ensure you're using the trading password, not the investor (read-only) password
• Check that you've selected the correct server name
• Confirm your internet connection is stable

"Broker Not Supported" Message

PipReaper supports all brokers that offer MT5. If your broker doesn't appear in the dropdown, contact our support team — we can add it within 24 hours.

Trades Not Executing

• Confirm trading is enabled in PipReaper settings
• Check that the market is open (forex is closed on weekends)
• Verify your account has sufficient margin
• Ensure the selected pairs are available on your broker
